In the summer of 1966, Jeff Hanna and Jimmie Fadden were hanging out at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Long Beach, CA trying to "figure out how not to have to work for a living." The other band members at the time were Ralph Barr, Jackson Browne, Bruce Kunkel and Les Thompson.  Jackson Browne dropped out of the band and John McEuen entered. Over the past 41 years, many other musicians were a part of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Click on their names for more about them at their websites.
